About Me

My photo
Married for 15 years and blessed with three wonderful children, I am a self taught jewelry designer always looking to learn new things! I have been making jewelry for about 8 or so years now and I love every minute of it. Between working full time and running here and there for little league, jewelry making is my relaxing and unwinding time. Live life to the fullest!

Healing

Nothing in life is certain, only death.  I have had such a hard couple months.  My whole family has dealt with death and the loss of loved ones.
My wonderful father in law passed away in February and took a piece of my heart with him.  I love him so much.  He was the only father that I have known for the last 17 years.  He always made me laugh and will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I also lost my grandfather a week ago.  He was the strongest man I know.  Even though cancer had taken parts of him, he still fought back and had a wonderful will to live.  He was 88 years old when he passed and he lived a wonderful life.

Heaven received 2 amazing angels and I know they are both looking over us.

Whew, times have changed!

Well Hello there!   I am trying this again with the blogging world and hopefully, I will learn more and keep this thing going.   That is my goal.  :)

I was reviewing my blog after a while away from it and my what a difference.  I have come a long way both personally and professionally.  My shop is now 2 1/2 years old and I am coming up on my 3000 sale soon.  WOW!!!   I cannot believe it.  My dreams are starting to come true.  It shows what a little hard work and determination can do.  Christmas 2012 was the busiest ever and I hope to out do that Christmas 2013.

My advice to any Etsy shop, whether just starting out or have been an Etsian for a while and just waiting for the magic moment of the first sale is KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND KEEP AT IT, IT WILL COME!!

First stacking ring- MADE!!

Okay, so I started my torch and after several attempts, I made my first stacking ring!  While it is not perfect, it is perfect to me since it is my 1st!  I think I am addicted to metalsmithing.  I cannot just sit in my room without working on something with the torch or hammer.  I am so excited to see my progress each time.  Here is my first stacking ring.

I am wearing it now and will keep it always!  ~I know, I'm cheesy~   :)

New item I just finished!

Okay, so I have been researching metal working and have been playing around with a hammer and some wire.  This is so interesting to me.  I love learning more and more about it.  I am purchasing my first torch and other equipment so look out!!  My husband is a little afraid that I might set the house on fire but let's keep our fingers crossed that I just end up making beautiful pieces of art instead.  Here is my first hammered metal piece that I just finished.  Yes, it's basic, but I love it!

I hope to have many more added to my shop in the near future.  It will be awesome to see the growth in my learning and creating.  Keep an eye out!
